"Really professional, fun and easy to learn from ... the class is an absolute joy"
"What I enjoy about Odne's class is how gentle his approach is and how great he is at explaining the technique. The combination ensures a safe playground for me to explore my emotions, but also gives clarity to how I can improve and grow. I always look forward to working with Odne!"
"He is adamant at making sure that it is the actor who must feel comfortable enough to discover the answers within themselves through this process. His guidance and style of teaching make it all the more exciting and effective in helping us reach a point of living in the moment... I highly recommend his services if you seriously want to take your craft to the next level."
Odne has been teaching the Meisner technique since 2018. Based on a series of progressive exercises, the Meisner technique is unique in its ability to train an actor in getting out of their own head, responding truthfully to what is happening in the moment, and creating performances grounded in a sense of expressive freedom
At the heart of the technique is the Repetition Exercise. The exercise elevates our craft by forcing us to abstract from the text and focus on the true currency of the actor: behaviour. Within the exercise each student is taught to observe clearly the behaviour of the other actor(s) and respond impulsively. Not only does the exercise build these muscles of observing and responding but it also continually puts us face to face with our own barriers, giving us the opportunity to break past them and continually develop as artists. While it is the job of the student to overcome the barriers in their work it is the job of the teacher to provide a safe and encouraging space to do so, and the values of patience, self-compassion, and taking charge of your own journey as an actor are essential elements of Odne's teaching style.
Odne has taught private and public classes as well as regular drop-in classes. He has taught at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Giles Foreman Centre for Acting, Fourth Monkey, and The Impulse Company, among others. He has also worked with second year students at Trinity Laban on a project combining Meisner with contemporary dance.

"The nine minutes seventeen seconds long movie is nowhere just a cinema but an experience of a lifetime. The film transcends us to the world where expressions and the narration of the mundane plot plays the real game."
The guardian spirit of the forest, Alder, meets a young forager that opens the possibility of changing her destiny. Alder, taking the shape of a female-tree form with the Alder tree's inner qualities of protection against malevolent fairies and humans, longs for being loved and for the intimacy of a touch. Very aware of the high price to pay for falling in love with a human her dilemma and vulnerability is exposed. Attempting to protect the forest from destruction she encounters him in the woods and seduces him, but will her heart overcome her loyalty to the forest?
The Magical Realist short drama 'Alder' juxtaposes our current ecological dilemma against the univeral human experience: love. In her loneliness and yearning for connection the forest spirit Alder is forced to answer the question, what do we when we are forced to choose between duty and love? The narrative also invites the viewer to see our relationship with nature from nature's point of view. What if nature could retaliate directly? Or even use us for its aims?
Since it's release 'Alder' has had great success at a number of film festivals across the globe, from London and Florence, to Los Angeles and even Bhutan
